Essential oils are in concentrated form in aromatic plants. They are volatile oils, which are isolated by distillation or by mechanical pressure. The volatile components are used separately or combined to create a new aromatic bouquet. They can penetrate into the deeper layers of the epidermis, from where they pass into our bloodstream system. Through smell they reach the various centers of the brain, thus influencing our phyche and mood. Essential oils have different properties, based on which we choose.
